From Bettys to Barnys!
Being a baker for over 30 years, Michael Miller decided to put his skills to good use and open his own bakery.
Having worked at the world renowned Bettys Café & Tea Rooms for the last 7 1/2 years, he has had the benefit of delivering high quality bread and pastries to the most discerning of customers. Latterly, he was also accredited with being a pastry trainer and bakery ambassador which finishes off his highly impressive CV.
The challenge of starting his own bakery was something that he had always wanted to do and has recently completed the purchase of Bobbys Bakery at 5 Stockwell Place, Knaresborough. Bobbys Bakery was previously run by Robert & Jane Fallon who, after 13 years, decided it was time to move on.
Michael has renamed the bakery ‘Barny Bakes’ and has reopened the business this week and is loving the experience of being his own boss.
Michael said ‘I have managed bakery’s before in the past but never my own and I am channelling all my experience into making Barnys a success.’
Having seen the business advertised with business agents Ernest Wilson, Michael commented ‘I found the experience with Ernest Wilson very productive and found them very professional’
