World curry festival

This last weekend saw the World Curry Festival take place in Centenary Square in Bradford and whilst the weather was not the kindest, the crowds turned out in their numbers to appreciate the atmosphere and smells that were emanating from many of the businesses participating. 

Many well known names were displaying their wares and many were giving cooking demonstrations including Zaara's, Hasans, Zouk, Kukoos & Oxford Foods.

On the main stage, the main demonstrating area, saw Bobby Patel and his mum Kaushy from the Prashad doing a professional cooking demonstration letting people know some of their secrets of vegetarian cooking.

I ended up sampling a naan cooked in front of me filled with fish masaala and chicken tikka from Hasans which was gorgeous and great value for money at £5 no complaints.

All in all, this was a feather in Bradford's crown and here's looking forward to the next one!
