From Restaurateur to Cafe Owner with the help of Ernest Wilsons!

Christophe Merlin had worked many years as a Restaurateur but with a young family, wished to change from evening work to daytime work. For many years, Christophe was general manager at the multi award winning Ring o Bells Pub & Restaurant in his hometown of Thornton, Bradford and approached Ernest Wilsons to find a business close to home but also to work daytimes. Christophe's passion is good food and people therefore it was decided that a cafe business would be ideal for him. By a stroke of luck, a cafe in Thornton, Sues Cafe, had come onto the market with Ernest Wilsons and it was a cafe known to Christophe. Whilst the cuisine appealed to a different audience than Christophe was looking for, the location was excellent and within walking distance of home meaning his kids could call in after school (and hopefully bring their friends!). After some research by Christophe and his partner together with advice from builders, plumbers, electricians etc it was decided that this was right for him and he made an offer.
I am pleased to confirm that completion has taken place today and 'Christophes' is due to open at the beginning of December, hopefully ready for the Christmas rush!
